We are still in the process of filling all team positions.

We have the following positions available on our teams.

BC Youth Volleyball is going to continue to build on its success from the 2019 club Season.

We have seen incredible technical development and understanding of the sport of volleyball and will strive to continue our development of well balanced athletes.

Our focus will continue to be focussed on the most up to date development of “Correct” technical skills, and team based tactical play.

Most of our teams played in no less than 6 club tournaments, with our selects teams playing in some of the most competitive Power Leagues on the West Coast. The events we choose to participate in allow our coaches the liberty to develop players in their strengths, while expanding a players growth through challenging them in their areas that may need improvements.

Most of our teams will play in a combination of local club hosted events and Washington State events. This ensures that our athletes are able to continue to compete with their peers, and to support local clubs, while still providing opportunities for elite level competition.

Team Selection Process

For our 2019-2020 season, we are planning to offer the following teams(pending athlete needs/coaches commitments).

Our teams will be created using a unique format this year.

We want to show loyalty to those who have been developing with our club, while still maintaining two streams of competition.

  1. Early Commitment Offers

We will be offering athletes the ability to secure a position on our teams by offering an early commitment for the 2019-2020 Season. This early commitment will guarantee a spot for the athlete on one of our club teams. Please be aware that this WILL NOT guarantee a player being placed on a specific team. Once all Early Commitments have been received, we will re-assign our coaching/ court resources to best manage the club needs for the following year. Once again, accepting an Early Commitment WILL NOT guarantee a position on a specific team, however all athletes who accept an Early Commitment will have a spot ensured on on of our club teams.

While Early Commitments are being accepted, we will also examine the acceptance of players via application.

  2. Application Process - found here: https://forms.gle/TuADcaWDPcR8g2Ga8

We will post an online application for athletes who are certain they would like to play in our programs.

    What does this mean?
All athletes who have not played for BC Youth Volleyball are welcome to complete an application for a position on one of our club teams. This application will include the completion of an application form, skills assessment, and possible match footage assessment.

    Why do we do this?
“Talent may win games, but teamwork and intelligence builds champions.” Strong team players are the backbone of any team. When others fail, these are the people who venture on with strong resolve and persistence, committed to getting the job done.

For us, its simple. We want to continue the development of athletes who want to want to play for us. We are not interested in the formation of a group of individuals who may possess some advanced volleyball skill, but are not team players, or who may have their own agendas.

We continually prove that we are able to develop players and teams.

Character, Personality, Respect, Always reliable, ability to Communicate with Confidence, Selfless, Adaptable, and displays Genuine Commitment, are all qualities that we look for in athletes we train.

Volleyball…. We can teach, however, a mindset focussed on team before self, and process over results is what we will focus on.

  3. Open Tryouts - Tryout Registration Form - https://forms.gle/ZBk2r4tp38FDaak27

Once our Early Commitments and Applications have been processed, we will post the positions we still require for teams in an age group. Tryouts will be limited due to space requirements. Only players who have registered and paid for tryouts will be permitted to tryout.

Those who are not selected to teams will have the opportunity to be involved in our Train and Play programs. Info to be posted at the end of November.

These will need to be completed and returned by October 31, 2019. Based on the commitments, we will likely reassess our coaching assignments and may remove teams to allow development of there age groups.

Application Process

Athletes who would love to play for BC Youth Volleyball are encouraged to complete our online application. We hope to try to fill team spots by minimizing the stress of a tryout. For us, its simple. We want to continue the development of athletes who want to want to play for us. We are not interested in the formation of a group of individuals who may possess some advanced volleyball skill, but are not team players, or who may have their own agendas. We continually prove that we are able to develop players and teams. SynergyVBC and Aldergrove Community Secondary School is offering its inaugural Developmental Train & Play program. This program is being created to offer opportunities to those who may not be selected, or who may not be able to commit to the scheduling requirements of Team BC Youth VB or BC Selects Youth VB teams.

We will be offering a maximum of 18 positions for the following age groups: U11/12 - Gr5 & 6 U13/14 - Gr 7 & 8 U15/16 - Gr 9 & 10

Cost is: FREE
